Purchase of the Sayer and Law Collections.

Sloss has been written to and replies that he has already arranged to work through Grimwood in shipping and insuring the pictures and in

making incidental payments. I have agreed to this arrangement.

2. Sloss also writes that "Grantham asked me to deal with Law but said nothing about Sayer. I assume that Sayer will proceed under his own steam". Sloss has been told that from your saving under reference it appears that you wish him to conclude the agreement with Sayer also and he has been asked to write to Sayer and find out the position that negotiations have reached.

3. I will keep you informed of developments.
